This is the story of the Great Exhibition - a celebration of manufacturing and innovation in the Victorian Age. It begins in the Italian Gardens, Prince Albert's horticultural love letter to his wife Queen Victoria. The story unfolds as we stroll to the site of Joseph Paxton's 'Crystal Palace'. We glimpse a beautiful secluded garden and explore the impact of many ideas and inventions of the Age on the Victorian home and gardens and the ongoing legacy of the Great Exhibition in the Museums of South Kensington. You will be encouraged to visit Ennismore Gardens, Rutland Gate South and the Natural History Wildlife Garden. OGSW ticket required
