High above the rooftops of the Strand with stunning views of St Martin-in-the-Fields, Nelson’s Column and Zimbabwe House the Coutts Skyline garden is a living, breathing rooftop garden created by the bank’s executive chef Peter Fiori.
Created in 2012 with help from the horticulturalist Richard Vine and the Clink charity based at HMP High Down, it lies on each side of a narrow walkway around the roof of the bank’s building, and includes a south-facing fruit garden, a kitchen garden and a cottage garden planted in a series of troughs and tubs. The garden produces organic vegetables, fruit, herbs and salad and serves the busy kitchen for client entertainment.
