Event Details

This walk and tour led by Nic Guerra, one of the most experienced City of London Corporation gardeners will start with the beautiful St Dunstans in the East - an intimate City garden created in the walls of the churchyard and then visitors will be taken on a tour of Nic's Secret garden, a nearby unique space dedicated to tending for plants which have been rescued or donated - a true garden nursery. All the plants are brought on to good health by Nic and his small team of volunteers and they are then passed on to various community groups for replanting. Nic will talk about his role as an award winning City gardener within the Corporation and explain how he has introduced more biodiversity and wildlife into all of his gardens. This tour is the first of its kind offering a glimpse into a day in the life of a City gardener who is passionate and dedicated to plants and the local community.

Visitors are encouraged to stay after the walk and tour to browse and chat to volunteers.
