Markets, Martyrs, and Monuments; A Walk through Smithfield

A walk through one of the most historic areas of the City of London featuring Markets that have existed here since the Middle Ages, the Martyrs who have given their lives for their beliefs and the Monuments a plenty to the great and the not so good that have made Smithfield one of the most unique places in the world. We will begin at Farringdon tube station and wind our way through some dark alleys , be amazed by old medieval churches and hospitals and be delighted by the wonderful Victorian market that still exists today
